Middle Aged Journeying

 Because honestly, it was a total crapshow at work. Got there and the parking lot was near empty. That was unusual enough. But our trucks were sitting all over the back lot waiting to unload. Even more unusual. Get in the break room and found out why. First shift got sent home right after their lunch because hey presto! One of the ammonia pipes sprung a bad leak and everything had to be shut down while they fixed the leak and repressurized the pipes and got them refilled. Whoops. And then right after lunch, MY line decided to up and derail itself, which took an hour to fix and get birds running to my half of evis again. We got in today and it was posted to work Friday instead of having it off as usual (we work four ten-hour shifts normally) and I was not happy but made myself think of the overtime money from coming in, albeit unwillingly. By lunch, it had been changed to first shift only. So I have my full weekend plus the Monday holiday off after all, yay! So here's a funny I foun...

 It was a heck of a day at work. No idea how I got through it, as things were going haywire off and on all day. I'm just glad it is over and I'm home. About ready for a shower, and some work on the shops. Just finished dinner, so that's one good thing done for the night. Read a little bit over dinner, and I'm so ready for the week to be over. It's just that nuts. Honestly, the day comes that I can quit that place, I will be so happy. My stress levels will drop to near nothing. That place is HUGE on giving the employees a lot of stress. Yuck. So anyhow, here's some funnies and such from Fakebook. Then I gotta get stuff done so I can do the chicken thing again tomorrow. Go, me.

 Just a few things I still find interesting. Yep, I really do. Thanks, everyone who supports me, whoever you are. 2020 was a frigging nightmare. 2021 wasn't really any better. 2022 so far is better but has a long fucking ways to go. THIS - for everybody who irritates the living shit out of me. PLEASE do some actual research. Don't just rely on the lies that the media feeds you. Yep, it ain't the gun doing the shooting. It's just doing what it was designed to do - propel a projectile. It ain't gonna do a damn thing unless someone pulls the trigger, though. So quit blaming the guns when it's the person holding the gun and pulling the trigger.

 Some goodies. The one of me and the kitten is me holding my old cat Smudge, when he was a few months old. He died of a broken heart 7 years ago when his buddy, Bouncer Senior, passed from ill health. Exactly a week after losing Senior, I came home from work to find Smudge in his favorite spot, curled up behind the toilet, gone. His big, beautiful heart just broke losing his buddy. He was buried right next to Senior, so they could be together forever. It still breaks my heart, losing that big, loveable former feral. He was TNRd at just about 2 months old, and was always somewhat spicy because of it. But his heart was so big. He loved so hard, and I was his person. Losing him broke my heart, and still does. He would be 11 now. Every pet I've ever had that I've lost over the years, I still miss terribly. Other stuff is just stuff. Laundry is about to go in the dryer and I have a few dishes to finish and the living room to wet vac to get up some of the dirt from the last couple we...

 Sorry about forgetting the books. It's been a long day, honestly. Not busy, just hot and miserable and about all I did was sleep. When I wasn't sleeping, I was getting some dinner and getting the groceries, then getting them home and put up. Then it was back to bed for a while because it was still miserably hot. I skipped farmer's market this morning, because it was going to be so hot by the time we finished up, that my poor wax melts would have been melting all on their own in the heat. Not good for them to do that before the customers got them home to play with them! Oh well, it happens. At least Fakebook hasn't kicked me off yet, haha, so I can keep up with everybody's news that way and get more of my favorite memories moved here. Overall, it wasn't a bad day, just quiet and really sleepy. I tend to sleep a lot on weekends because I work so hard at the Just Over Broke during the week, but I do manage to get chores done somehow, and get a good bit done on the...

 There are days there is absolutely nothing fun or funny on Fakebook for me to share...or put here, these days. Other days, there's a glut. It's feast or famine, y'all. So there's some memes I think are neat or funny, several flowers today, a couple space ones (I am a big space nut - they are a nebula and Saturn as seen from one of it's many moons), and a coffee meme because, well, it's COFFEE. Personally, I'm more of a tea drinker, but caffeine fuels the day.
