I'm so far behind on everything
That I need 40 hour days to catch up. Not happening.
Work is kicking my butt and for some reason, they expect me to care that I'm on the verge of pointing out. Nope, I don't care. I can find something else pretty quick, honestly. There's LOADS of small manufactories paying decent closer to home. Not as good as where I'm at, but it would mostly balance out. told a supervisor today that they don't pay me enough to care. I'm paid enough to show up, do whatever stupid thing they come up with for me to do for the day, and go home. Got accused of not being a team player. Yeah, I don't get paid enough for that, either. I'll do my best to keep my job, but I lose it, just a chance to go somewhere I might just be appreciated more.
The zoo crew is loving getting treats and dinner at the same time, instead of breakfast in the morning and treats at night when I get home from work. I started it when the hot weather hit because otherwise, they wouldn't eat all their wet food and it would sour by the time I got home. So, feed in the cool night hours, and it lasts till morning and is gone, and they get free choice kibble and plenty of water all day. I did have to worm them the other day, as Bouncer had roundworms. I'm pretty sure that's what they were, because pinworms, hookworms, and tapeworms are not common around here. No idea how he got them, other than maybe from eating a mouse or something that got in and he caught and ate. Or that frog he caught in the front room a couple weeks ago. But he had a few wigglers in his poop so I went to TSC and got the liquid wormer.
Would have gotten the apple ivermectin horse wormer, which works better and is a lot cheaper, plus lasts a lot longer, but none of the cats, nor the dog, will touch it. So it's the fishy tasting (to them) liquid wormer that I can mix in their wet food and call it done. I'll do the backup treatment this upcoming weekend to ensure the worms are gone, and keep an eye out for more down the road for a few months, just to make sure they don't come back. If they do, the whole crew will go in to the vet for the stronger wormer. I'd get it and give it myself, but all four of these guys fight being wormed orally, so the vet has to do that - with purritos for the cats as well as the leather gloves, and three people minimum to hold Bandit and worm her. These guys do NOT take meds easily, under any circumstances! If I have to do that, I'll have a late summer/early fall flea/tick treatment done, too, because this crazy weather is enough to set the fleas and ticks to going nuts. Even though the cats don't go out, Bandit does, and she could bring them in, easily.
Work on the shop goes apace. I'm working on adding the cat toys, dog bandanas, and some other people products besides mugs to the shop. It's time-consuming to do everything, but worth it, and after tonight, I really want to make this work better. Hit and miss right now which is fine while building, but I want it built so I can quit that crazy-making place.
Now for pictures for my tax on making you read all the boring stuff above, lol.
