Good Lord, six days?
I really gotta get back on the ball here. It's been a bit and honestly, it's just the Just Over Broke has been kicking my heiney. Add in the dry heat and high temps putting my area in a burn ban, which also means a lot of dust flying around, and I'm sneezing my fool head off a LOT. The house is a decent temp though. I've got the A/Cs cranked down to 65 and a couple fans running to circulate the air and keep the house comfy for me and the zoo crew.
I did have to call the landlady yesterday on my way to work, because there's a small gap in the woodwork right over the front door, and on my way out, I was getting dive bombed by bald faced hornets making a nest in there. She came over while I was gone to spray the hole and kill 'em, I get to go out later when it's cooler and spray in a good mess of gap and crack sealant foam to keep them from coming back. I was lucky not to get stung several times in head and hand, the way they were flying around me while I was trying to lock the front door. No wonder Bandit hasn't wanted to go out in the mornings the last couple of days and has preferred her puppy pad instead.
I'm not looking forward to temps this week. Four days upcoming are going to be 100 or higher for the actual temp. The heat index is going to be insane. Weather like that, I REALLY wish the shop was doing better so I could stay home where it's comfy and not go outside at all. It will be nice when that day finally comes along.
Work's been a bit insane with breakdowns off and on all night every night. And this week was my lead's last week in the department. She's going to days elsewhere in the plant. We are so short-handed it's a wonder we can get anything accomplished. I'd like to make them one more person short with the shop!
The lack of posting means you have a crapton of pictures to enjoy this time. So I'll get those up, and let you enjoy. I'm going to take a nap.
