Last minute addition, early Saturday morning

 Didn't get it all done around here like I hoped. That heat just sapped everything out of me. Older I get, worse it is. I have GOT to get my happy butt back to Michigan is all there is to it. Back where there are four seasons and one of them is not called Living in Satan's Armpit.

So everything is moved from Etsy to Shopify and is being edited to work properly in the shop. Thank goodness for bulk edit, as it made the majority of the move go smoothly. One thing Etsy has that Shopify does not in the bulk edit is the ability to edit the descriptions in bulk. I do wish Shopify had that option, but they don't. Oh well. Just means a lot of copy and paste to get it all right. Some of the products are fully edited already, so the store looks like it has a few things in it, but far too many empty categories yet. That will change with time and a lot of effort on my part. Whew. By the time I ever get done with it, it's going to be huge, I think. But the nice part is, one day it will take care of me, and by the time it does it enough to get me out of the plant, I'll be happy because then I can spend even more time playing with it. 

Yes, I said playing. When it's fun, it's not a job or work. It's a bleeding PLEASURE. It's one of the few things I think about all day at work that keep me fully happy so I don't go stark raving insane there with the stupid boredom of the stupidity of the job. It also helps me to not focus on the pain in my body from all the damage the place has done to me, including now having plantar fascitis and no way to get off my feet and away from it so I can heal. So yeah, loads of work on a number of products. Some designs will only get a handful of products, others that I think would look nice on a bigger list will get those.

Anywho, tis time for bed. In the morning (more like noonish, but my morning), I'll get my laundry put away and fight traffic and temps to get groceries and gas up the car for the week. Then home to put away food and get crackin' for the rest of the weekend on the shop. Go me!

So I'm off to bed to sleep for a while as it's comfy for the nonce.

 But work-wise, COVID changed so much for the world as far as how we work. For two years, work was done remotely as much as possible. Now there are several ways to work - full time in office, mixed (part time in the office and part time remote), and fully remote. Employers have learned that remote work still gets done and often much better and faster than in-house. With less distractions, work can be done more easily. Which made me think just now, with so many companies going full remote on everything they can, which saved boatloads of money on expensive leases for office space, a lot of this office space is going to go to waste. What need for skyscrapers and fancy, expensive offices other than to prove that the men in charge of leading these companies have a need to compensate for a lack of something elsewhere? Today wasn't really any better

 As I'm no longer a "top dasher," making any money today was almost a bust. $24...woohoo. I need to try up in Green Forest, where the plant is, tomorrow and see how that does me. No midrange restaurants there, just a diner that closes early, a gas station with a bunch of food type things (chicken, tacos, etc.), and a small handful of low-midrange restaurants. I can give it a whirl for a few hours and see what happens. Worst that happens is the nothing I'm doing now and I come back to home base to make SOMETHING. On the other hand, come Saturday,  I start a new 3/4 time job at a local gas station. It's pretty regular and will at least keep the rent paid and the credit cards paid that all the bills are going on right now. Going to be a bit tight for a while till I can get back to top dasher status, which will be hard with only two days a week off anymore, and working till close every night. Whoopsie!

 I didn't realize it had been so long since I'd posted. No wonder the pictures have been piling up on my computer. Things have been a bit crazy lately. Work has been insane with breakdowns and people missing or general what have you. I worked a point off end of last week, and then this week, used it on Thursday because my body was screaming bloody murder at me. I woke up and everything was still aching from the night before, from head to toe, quite literally. I could barely walk to get the dog outside for a potty run and get me some breakfast. (The zoo gets dinner right now because of the heat, instead of breakfast, so it doesn't spoil before they get it all eaten.) I've been in a bit of a glum spell lately as well. I'm kind of bummed out by the job, working on the shop and seeing how fast I can grow the product offerings so I can draw more traffic and of course, get more sales.
