Ow. That is all.
The Just Over Broke finally got me off that stand that was giving me plantar fasciitis so bad and onto the floor to cut up chicken and make it pretty enough to cut up more for eating. This is fine. I've done it all week now, and everybody thinks I'm doing great. It only took me going last week to the old GPM, who is now the Assistant Plant Manager, and saying look, you have to step in and fix this because I'm in agony and feel like I was lied to and led on and I'm ready to go to HR and file a formal complaint. So I started on the floor Monday, and let me tell you, that is a whole new level of haul a$$. Time flies, thankfully enough, but I thought I was going to DIE when the day was over. Tuesday, I knew I would die from this. By Wednesday, it was starting to get more comfortable. Yesterday, it was going well enough that it didn't bother me so much. But this new range of motion pain is Oh My God What Have I Freaking Done To Myself level of pain. But at least it's just stiff and sore and with Tylenol and a good night's sleep, that all goes away. It's not my feet screaming in agony so much that I want to spend the whole shift crying from the pain and not being able to stand properly. So there's that.
I'm still sore and tired this morning, MY morning, because it was noon when I finally got my butt out of bed for even a little bit. I'm still pretty exhausted. I'm working as much as I can on the shop to get products in and build my audience and traffic, so there's that. I'll be adding the baby quilts/photography props later as well as the wax melts, jar candles, and bath/beauty products as little extras down the road when I'm a bit further along on the pet lovers gifts. I'm kind of tempted to get rid of the POS app in the shop as I have no intention of doing shows any more. Not even Farmer's Market. I just don't have the time or inclination right now. This summer was supposed to be a triumphant return to market, and I did pretty good every week until....oh yeah, Memorial Day week and work started in with "Let's work every Friday and make everyone miserable with 50-hour weeks!" NOT what I signed on for, people, get real. It went on all summer and so of course, I was too tired all summer to even go sit for a little while and sell wax melts and such. Buggrit, as Foul Ole Ron would say. (Bonus points to readers who understand the reference without looking it up.)
Thankfully, those days seem to be over just in time for market to be done for the year as well. Thanks a lot, Tyson Foods, for ruining my summer side hustle plans! This week, I have an actual full three-day weekend and a good chunk of today will be spent in bed to easy away the stiff and sore muscles and get some sleep that I apparently desperately need, if my body is any indication. Later will be a lot of products designed and added to the shop. That's my goal for most of the weekend is more stuff in the shop. It's not just tees and hoodies and baby bodysuits and stickers and coffee mugs and Christmas ornaments and dog bandanas and cat toys. Oh, no. There's a bunch of different drinkware, baby bibs, keychains, bookmarks, magnets, and even wall clocks! The third-party printer I'm using has a TON of goodies and I could honestly go completely nuts in there with favoriting products to add to the shop. They've got a couple hundred products I'd love to add, all printed, packed, and shipped from within the USA...but I'm limiting types of products so I don't go too crazy. Many designs I have do not fit the niche and will either eventually be other shops OR will go in this one just not in the shop itself, but in apps for outside sales venues.
This is fine with me as I'm not sure I want to try to run several different shops, lol. I've ideas for three others, plus Redbubble for everything that doesn't really fit one of the "regular" shop ideas. And with as many designs as I have to get into the CURRENT shop, it would be a while before I get them into other shops, longer if I put the designs on EVERYTHING that I want to stick them on. I'm going to be busy for the rest of my life, haha. So I'm better of limiting the types of products and thus being able to do more designs faster.
That being said, here's a bunch of pictures to play catch up with and then it's back to bed for me for a bit more sleep before the few chores that need doing and working most of the rest of my weekend on the shop.
