Happy Halloween 2022
Took yesterday and today off dashing. Not by choice last night. I had stomach flu and it was not fun. Slept most of the day and finally coughed up the energy to get some chicken noodle soup in me for the calories and those wonderful chicken enzymes to help me feel better. When you're that sick, does anything taste better for food? It's like ambrosia when you're feeling that crappy.
Tonight being Halloween, I know it's a busy night. I can see that in the DD app. Things are smokin'. However, it's also a night where there are a gazillion little kids running around that don't know better yet running out in the street after candy. It's not a good combination. Had a friend run into town midafternoon today and they told me to not go out if I could avoid it because the traffic was insane. Then saw on a local FB group that there was a three-car pileup just north of town and the whole main highway was stopped in both directions. All the cars involved were totaled but nobody seriously hurt. Saw that about the time I would normally be going out to drive and said not this girl tonight. I'll just go out earlier for the rest of the week and make up that way. I'm into making money but I'm not that into it that I want to risk my car getting wrecked by crazy drivers.
So when I was up to it last night and so far today, plus rest of my evening, I'm working on new products in the shop. I'm changing from on POD supplier to another that's just as good but loads cheaper. The one I've been using has been having issues getting orders out on time anyhow, and they do all the work in-house, which is great, but DAMN they're pricy. The one I'm switching to as fast as I can is more like the Door Dash or UberEats of POD, in that they act as a clearing house. You do your designing on their platform, they push the product mockups and info to your store, and when orders come in, they route them to the printer-supplier you chose to use. They are also much cheaper. Printer #1 has me charging around $17 for a single white coffee mug. Printer #2, I can sell it for less than $10 and still make THE SAME PROFIT. So now instead of having to be luxury prices and only a few products (#2 also has a much larger catalog of products I can stick a design on), I'm switching all my designs to Printer #2 and am able to add other neat products like tees and hoodies and a bunch of different types of drinkware, plus stickers, wall art, keychains, bookmarks, and tote bags and SO MUCH STUFF. If I let my crow brain get out of control, I'd be going crazy. They've even got a nice selection of pet products like dog bandanas, dog shirts, beds, bowls, collars, leashes, and feeding mats. AND ORNAMENTS and magnets and stickers.... So those are going in as well, as fast as I can knock them out. It's still going to be a while before I can start the other three shops up like I want, but knowing what I know from this store, they will get up and running QUIIIICK. That will make me happy, too.
So a few pictures and then back to the shop for me!
